Libraries
The Arlington Public Library System offers eight branches, and all Oakridge families are eligible for free library cards. Check out all the programs offered, also free, this summer, including Forensic Biology, use of 3D printers, Dungeons and Dragons, Teen Trivia Nights and lots of animal visits!
The Oakridge Library will be open Monday - Thursday mornings, 9:00 to 12:00, in June and July. Join us for story time on Tuesdays and STEAM on Wednesdays. Check out books all summer long and meet your friends in the library to read, play games or check out maker kits.
Bookstores
This hometown, independent bookstore is just a few miles from Oakridge! The owners provide a curated selection of new books, author-signed titles, and a wide array of genres and topics. They also provide special events such as author talks, date nights, and more!
The Half Price Books Flagship Store is the biggest anywhere and well worth the trip! The store is filled with all sorts of fabulous books and other treasures and even welcomes dogs! Make sure you have at least an hour to browse this massive space!
You will love Fort Worth’s fun, cozy and well-stocked bookstore. Storytime Tuesdays and Fridays, journaling classes, some pretty decent coffee, and a friendly owner will make your reading time a pleasure!
Interabang is a Dallas independent bookstore offering a diverse selection of books, author events, and community programming for readers of all ages. The employees at Interabang definitely know their books!

LS AND MS Students: Participate in Oakridge Summer Bingo by completing any row in your division's Bingo Board! Stop by the library to share your reading achievements or email Mrs. deWinter with updates. Be sure to tell Mrs. deWinter where to put your raffle tickets when you BINGO: Target, Amazon, Barnes and Noble or Chick-fil-A.
