Dr. Opal Lee, the Grandmother of Juneteenth, will lead the celebratory Walk for Freedom on June 19th, starting at 9:00, at the African American Museum of Dallas. The 2.5 mile walk recognizes the 2.5 years it took for news of freedom to reach the enslaved people of Texas. Walk along in person or virtually!
